I confess as I create my first flash fiction, it means unhinging factors I see in novels. Attempting to breathe a long story into ultra compact form is downright hard.

This is one of the very few quotes that helps me keep going when I appear to be looming within my writing.
Today marked the one-year anniversary since the passing of musical artist, Prince. I decided to create a poem inspired by one of his earlier songs, called Controversy. It has stayed with me since I first heard it as a rebellious thirteen-year-old.

Am I black or white, am I straight or gay?

PSecond day of Spring and the official 2017 World Poetry Day is an ideal time to also acknowledge another major event for poets everywhere as April gets closer. Not only does April celebrate National Poetry Month. It will be time for the NaPoWriMo/GloPoWriMo challenge !
