Upclose: Who Is C.I.Mues (a.k.a, Carli)?
She asks that question every morning! Let’s start with the direction of this blog: learning self-publishing and writing stories for a living.
The best way to get on the path to sharing your work is to think about what you want to learn, and make a commitment to learning it in front of others….Share what you love, and the people who love the same things will find you.
~ Austin Kleon, Show Your Work
Creatively Connecting Things Is Her Passion
While Carli’s degree and line of work speak healthcare and web development respectively, she wrote stories since age eight,… beginning on an airplane. Recording excitements of travel while on her first plane trip inspired her to scratch pen on paper.
Growing up, writing unfolded more for Carli. It became her best friend who listened when she desperately needed to be heard. She prayed through her journal in good and bad moments. Today, she is a survivor-turned-thriver, who learned how to forgive through writing. In her journal, she wrote stories (that only she could read and understand) in raw truth.
Now, she is on the second part of her passage, translating experiences from her travelled paths into poetry and fiction. But Carli does not stop there within the creative world.
Visual art and photography tell stories profoundly in their own right. She hopes to reawaken those pursuits while embracing new skills in each area.

Carli hopes you will join her in this passage and be able to learn from things she shares.
