The compelling poem, Hate for Sale, by author, Neil Gaiman, was enough by itself. Seeing it visualized and vocalized under the direction and animation talents of Anna Eijsbouts and voice of Peter Kenny, respectively, made me take time to reassess where my personal perspectives toward life around me lay.

All seems to have escaped.
Look inside to recapture all wonder
not lost. What never left, rests intact.
Simple curiosity and imagination,
feeling playtime within its new skin,
await as only equipment necessary
to rekindle love, laughter, thunder or
loosen hidden waterfalls enchanted.
Once again rising strong, personal truth
awakened to an original purpose.

Pain surmounts, its waves
Washing away quickly
While mistakes confessed
You on that seat of privilege,
please answer a question:
How do you expect The Gypsy
to accept your proposition
to come up and sit next to you at
your table of happiness?
Several days taken to live only one.
Reality heightens walking alone.
Homeless man digging again through the trash?
Rules of life he chose determined his past.
Must everything be of cause and effect?
That surely is not how we all take our trek.
Find courage embracing life’s weave of complexities.
